Our Focus

Who We Serve

38% of Frederick County residents live paycheck to paycheck.* Working families with 2 or more jobs have difficulty paying for rent and food every month. The cost of daycare can exceed the cost of housing.

These families are forced to make difficult decisions when it comes to their family’s safety, health, and well-being. Multiple jobs don’t allow for the time to research and register for extracurricular activities, while the lack of a car makes getting to a practice impossible. Program fees don’t fit into a budget that struggles to cover the basics.

City Youth Matrix offers a way for children in lower income families to learn things outside of school, to be exposed to new experiences and opportunities, to have the chance to reach their full potential.

We provide the framework of support so families feel empowered and able to fulfill their children’s dreams.
