Boat Launch Celebration (Celebración del lanzamiento del barco)
Get ready for a magical morning on the Creek! 🌟 Join City Youth Matrix for the Sailing Through the Winter Solstice Launch Day on Saturday, November 22, from 8:00–10:00 AM at Carroll Creek Linear Park in Downtown Frederick.
This year’s event is extra special — we’ll be watching our very own CYM boat, “The Ribbon Cutter,” set sail for the season! Come cheer it on, celebrate our amazing volunteers who brought it to life, and help us thank our generous sponsor, Morgan-Keller, for making it all possible.
Enjoy a cozy start to your weekend with hot chocolate, warm cider, and fresh pastries as we take in the sights of the beautifully decorated boats lighting up the water. It’s a festive, family-friendly morning filled with community spirit, laughter, and holiday cheer!
Your attendance also supports a great cause — this event helps raise funds for City Youth Matrix, allowing us to keep empowering local youth and families through life-changing experiences.

Spectators are only permitted on the library side of the creek (due to all the large equipment).
¡Prepárate para una mañana mágica en el arroyo! 🌟 Únete a City Youth Matrix para el lanzamiento de "Navegando hacia el Solsticio de Invierno" el sábado 22 de noviembre, de 8:00 a 10:00 a. m. en el Parque Lineal Carroll Creek en el centro de Frederick.
El evento de este año es muy especial: ¡veremos zarpar a nuestro barco de CYM, "The Ribbon Cutter", para la temporada! Ven a animarlo, celebra a nuestros increíbles voluntarios que lo hicieron posible y ayúdanos a agradecer a nuestro generoso patrocinador, Morgan-Keller.
